which application is constantly reading disk?

How do I find out which application/process is hogging the disk access?

I like using Windows Task Manager to find out which apps are hogging
CPU or memory, but it doesn't show their disk usage. I tried using
perfmon, but that doesn't seem to identify which apps are using the
disk.

You could use the freeware FileMon utility from www.sysinternals.com to
monitor file accesses.
