When I highlight and choose properties, I can change the icon. But,
where do I browse to?

Thank you,
Christopher Lusardi

Hi Chris,

The default location is %SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll

Icons are also stored with some program folder, and some within the
program exe itself.

Any recommendations for a database interface. The only one I see is the
one showing a pencil writing a check mark on a piece of paper.

Is that all you see when you browse to
%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll ?

You can also do a Google search on icons for more icons.

Oh, I see about a hundred possible icons, but there are two that are
basically the same thing. One is a smaller version of the other.

My company is strict on not downloading stuff from the Internet. So, if
I can I would like to stay with what's available on my PC.

You could try looking around in the database application folder for ico
files Sometimes icons are embedding into the applications exe file.
Browse to it when looking for the icon.

I just wrote the application. I did find an icon that says database in
moricons.dll.

Still looking,

Try pifmgr.dll as well
