Where to find Epson 11880 profiles?

Rhonda

We've had the 11880 at work for a short time, and a client would like us
to email one of the Epson icc profiles. The trouble is -- we can't find
it! The drivers were installed when the printer was delivered and we can
access the profiles for printing, we just cannot isolate them anywhere
as separate files.

Does that make sense? The client went to Epson's site thinking he could
download that profile, but could only find the entire driver (which he
does not want on his home computer.)

Any idea where these are stored on a Mac?

Thanks for any help.

Yes, I just did a search, and in your Printers file, under Epson, natch,
is a folder called ICC Profiles. Select the appropriate one, then hold
down the Control key, and choose "Show package contents". In a folder
that's revealed should be all the ones for that printer.

John, thanks for answering. We could find the driver files, but not the
icc files. Do you have the 11880 too?

No, nor could I find it among my driver packages residing in that ICC
profile.

Since this is a big, expensive printer don't expect a lot of 3rd party
proiles for a while. The printer has been out for only 2 months or so.
You can try www.inkjetart.com or www.Booksmart.com the latter makes
their own profiles, very good quality BTW, you can check with them to
see if they are doing any for the 11880. Both have a holiday deal for
custom profiles too. If you are using nonEpson paper you can talk to
your paper manufacturer and partner with them to get profiles for the
printer. The other thing to do is to invest in a Gretag Photo
profiling system.

Mac profiles are stored here: user\library\colorsync\profiles

Not the ones we're talking about. If you read from the first post, you
should be able to understand.

Please put reply at bottom, not top.
