I bought a new mobo from PC Chips to replace a bad mobo. the old mobo
had a Model PCTEL AMR V 1.2 which worked excellent. When I got the new
mobo M848ALU it had a slot for a CNR. I was surprise to find that the
CNR from the old mobo did not fit into the socket. The socket is
longer and does not come close to fitting in this socket. I have
looked everywhere where I can buy a CNR that will fit and I cannot
come up with a vender. Ebay has CNR/AMR but they are the same size as
what I had in the old mobo. can anyone give me a clue as to where to
buy a CNR that will fit in the new mobo thanks.

I was going to go for the CNR but I think I will take your advise and
order the PCI modem from Newegg. The mobo comes from the same vendor.
appreciate the information thanks and a Happy New Year! Norm
