where to connect fan sensor?

Hi All!
I recently replaced power supply in my system. It's intel SE440BX
motherboard and has 3 fan connectors. The power supply is Antec Smartpower
2.0 400 watt ATX12V and has a fan sensor (2 wires/3 pins). The queston is
where to connect the sensor and waht's purpose of it?

Thanks

Purpose first- to allow the motherboard to monitor the fan RPM. It
probably has an option in the BIOS to alarm or shut down
the computer if the fan fails (you'll not want to enable this, as the
Antec "smart" feature runs the fan speed according to demand).
The fan RPM can be viewed through the BIOS, or a hardware monitor
program (included with the motherboard[?] or a 3rd party
program like Everest).

Connect it to one of the fan connectors on the motherboard (take note
that sometimes not all the connectors are capable of being
monitored- your manual should address that). Make sure you don't use the
CPU fan connector.
