Local office and computer stores have returned all XP home ed. to MS. The
half-priced days are over.

On Line stores have it; Amazon $100.
Amazon also has "Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition SP2B for System Builders
with Vista Tech Guarantee Coupon "

What is that?

It's a version of WinXP with Service Pack 2 and some subsequent
hotfixes rolled in, designed specifically to be sold to systems
builders. Systems builders are people who custom build computers and
then usually sell those custom computers to another.
