where is the theme?

Someone has sent me a site they've built with FrontPage XP.

I looked at the site in both IE and Firefox and it looked fine. I could
see they used a theme and shared borders.

However when I opened up the site in FrontPage itself, I got the message
that "FrontPage needs to add information to the folder to manage
hyperlinks and other content. Do I want to do this?"

I click Yes (because the site doesn't open if I say no) and the site
opens. However I can't see the theme or borders in use. If I reopen
the site in a browser, then the theme has gone.

I noticed that the files I was sent included _borders, _derived,
_fpclass, _overlay and _themes. However the folder list in FP is not
listing them, even though they still exist when I look at the folder in
Windows Explorer.

I see that FP added _private and _images folders, which I hadn't been sent.

I'm not a regular FP users so if anyone can explain what is going on
here, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Because of the prompt you received, the folder they sent you was not complete w/ the FP metafiles
Try applying the theme (using the theme name in the _themes folder)
Or have them send you the complete disc based site (including all hidden FP folders)
