I set a picture from a website as wallpaper, and now I'm trying to find the
location of the image on my HD.

Anyone know?

Thanks!

I don't know the picture name. I just did a "Set as Background" :(

Right-click anywhere on your desktop and click
on "Properties". On the Background tab should be your
picture's name. Once you have the name you can do your
search and locate the file. Hope this helps.

I don't know the picture name! If I did, I wouldn't be in this fix. :(

Anyone know what the default folder and filename for images "Set as
Background" via IE6 are? It's got to be a generic name that is continuously
over-written with every new "Set as Background". I just wish I knew what it
was!

Look in C:\Documents and Settings\[active user name]\Application
Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer. There should be a file called "Internet
Explorer Wallpaper.bmp." That should be whatever you last "Set as Background."
There may be other .bmp files there as well that could show up in your
Background list when you left click on the desktop and go to Properties >
Desktop tab.

If your system partition is something other than C:, look there instead.
