Where is the Telnet app.?

Hi there,

I had been using Windows Telnet apps to test my Winsock programs
sending/receiving messages in earlier version of Windows, such as Windows NT
4.0. But in Win2000 Advanced Server, when accessing Accessories menu from
the Start, I can't see it. I only reach Telnet Service from Component
Services that is not what I want to. When I enter "telnet" in Command Prompt
screen, I am comfronted with the Telnet Client DOS screen.

Can anyone help me reach Telnet app. (as in Windows NT 4.0)?

Hi,

The telent client in Windows 2000 does not come with a GUI interface, it is
command line only. You could copy the GUI client from a NT box to a 2000 box
though. The following article explains in more detail:
