one of the turoials I have says that the new slide button is located on the
bottom right corner of the screen. I can't find it. Can you help me?

Which version of PowerPoint are you using? Ctrl+M will bring up a new slide.
Or, you can put up a New slide button, by right clicking on your toolbar,
select customize, insert, and drag the new slide icon to your toolbar.

Try top right. Depending on your PowerPoint version and the way you have the
toolbars set up, there might be a New Slide button there. Or not. Tutorials
that make assumptions like this are not very good tutorials.

What'll work on every copy of PowerPoint is the Insert, New Slide command on
the main menu bar.
