Hi,

We are using windows 2000 server and we have a public M drive that every one on the network can share. I just deleted a word document from M drive in one network computer and could not find it on this computer's C drive ? Where can I find it? on the server or somewhere else?

Thank you,

No - it's gone unless you can restore it from backup. The recycle bin is
only for local files. You might want to look into something like

Greetings --

You cannot find it, without using expensive data recovery
software. By design, files deleted from network shares are
permanently deleted, and are _not_ stored in any workstation's Recycle
Bin, nor in any network equivalent.

Your network administrator will have the requisite knowledge and
tools. Contact him/her.

What kind of server backups do you run, and was this file included in your
last backup?
