Where is 'System Configuration Utility' in XP

Patches Forever

In WinME in the System Information Utility (in System Tools) there was a
thing called 'System Configuration Utility' where you could selectively
specify which processes get started when Windows starts up. I can't find
anything like that in WinXP. Can comebody tell me where to find it ?

TIA

Hi,

If you looking for msconfig.exe it's still present on Windows XP (Start ->
Run -> msconfig.exe). Besides you can also check services.msc - to services'
managemant.

Start > Run > MSConfig.exe.

Msconfig is designed to be a troubleshooting tool, not a "startup
configurer." It should be used in Normal mode, unless you're actively
troubleshooting a problem.
