Where is Powerpoint custom animation taskpane office 2003 student

Office 2003, student & Teach edition. Taskpane for Custom animation
mentioned in Help menu is not available as in 2002 version. Clicking on
custom animation brings up a window only.

Go to View>>>Task Pane
From the drop down in the task pane, you'll see custom animation. Click to go.

It sounds like you have disabled the new features on your copy of PPT. Go to
Tools--> Options, Edit tab, and make sure there aren't any checks in the
last three boxes.
