Where is my data?

I have a 160G Samsung 160JJ HDD that I had been using on my old XP PC. I
just got a new PC with Vista on it, and it recognizes the HDD but it shows
the drive as empty. Any ideas? I have data on that HDD that is very
important, and I don't want to wipe it out and install XP if I dont have to.

Your new computer likely has a SATA drive installed, and your old drive
is an IDE drive? Although your mainboard has an IDE connector, your
bios might be set for SATA only or the installed Vista does not have an
IDE driver installed by default. Report the driver status from Device
Manager.
