Where is Font size vs DPI in Vista?

Does anyone know whether there's an equivalent to XP's Display Font Size in
Vista? In XP Display Properties, Appearance tab we can change Font size to
Large or Extra Large. This is useful for people who want high resolution
desktops but find it hard to read small text (without sitting really close
which is bad for eyes).

I know there's a DPI setting in Vista just as there is in XP, but it's not
the same as Font size.

Rightclick on empty are aon your desktop-->click "Appearance".
A window will popup, look at TOP-LEFT corner.

There you see DPI settings, i set mine to 110, looks great!

I am sorry I mistakenly talked about DPI, which you apparently KNOW in
Vista.

Try this, I use it all the time:

Appearance-->Window color & appearance-->select Windows CLASSIC-->click on
"advanced", select each windows element and change font sizes there, some
itmes do NOT have font size because they're not fonts, obviously window
title bar color or desktop color have no fonts options
This applies to Windows system-wide.

In I(nternert explorer goto to
Tools-->InternetOptions-->Accessability-->IGNORE FONT SIZES SPECIFIED on WEB
PAGES,
after you did that, goto View-->Text size, now text size you select there
will change text on every page regardless of webpage designers preference, I
use that all the time!
I set my tex tto "larger"

Second, click View-->ZOOM-->increase zoom, I used 110% until I found a way
to adjust text w/o screwing up graphics, which Zoom sometimes does.

In MS Office , same method - use Zoom option.

You don't even need too much effort to change Zoom in MANY applications
today from Windows, to IE, to MS Offic e, to Adobe, to my CAD programs...,
do this:
Hold Ctrl button on keyboard and start scrolling mouse wheel away from you
or towards you - see Zoom changes.

Hi,

Adjusting the DPI is the only facility Vista provides for as far as changing
the font size goes. If you open it up, you will find an option to adjust to
a larger font size.

Hi Rick

I think you forgot about, personalize then windows color & appearance then
click open classic appearance properties for more color options then
advanced tab, you can change the font size for almost anything in there.

Hi,

No, not really. That appearance option only applies when the Vista theme is
not being used as opposed to the DPI setting, and the poster was
specifically interested in the font size of written text, an option that is
not available in the dialog you refer to.

Yes, if one changes the DPI then EVERYTHING changes. Yeah, soley changing
the font seems to be long-winded in Vista opposed to XP, but yeah it seems
possible.
