Where is address book on XP Pro?

Don

Where can I find the address book used by Outlook on a machine running Windows XP Pro? Do I
understand correctly that it's a ".pab" file, or maybe a ".wab" file?

Thanks,
Don

Your "address book" is the Contacts folder.

Thanks for your reply. What I'm trying to find is the file that contains the Contacts. Isn't that
the ".wab" file? I found the ".wab" on one computer in a folder named "Address Book" under
"Application Data" which is under the login-name folder under "Documents and Settings". But, that
same "Address Book" folder doesn't exist on another computer which is also running XP Pro and
Outlook.

Not for Outlook. Outlook Express uses the Windows Address Book as its
address book. For Outlook, the file that contains the Contacts folder is
the same file that contains your mail messages, Tasks, Calendar, Notes, and
every other Outlook item: the Personal Folders file (PST). The default
location for the PST is the hidden folder
%UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
