Where is 8X DVD-R media?

I just bought an NEC 2500A 8X DVD+/-RW drive, and when shopping for DVD
media on eBay I find lots of DVD-R media rated for 4X, but none rated for
8X. Why no 8X? I think that if you have media rated at only 4X, then the
drive will only write at 4X, right?

From the page Clint supplied:

TYG01 -R 4x -> 8x
YUDEN000T01 +R 4x -> 8x
MCC 01RG20 -R 4x -> 8x
RICOHJPNR01 +R 4x -> 6x
RICOHJPNR02 +R - still not completly sure
RITEK R03 +R 8x -> 4x - wait for FW update

Eight speed DVD-R media is hard to find in North America. 8X DVD+R is a
little easier. Your best bet is to buy a few samples at a local store and
try them. Once you've found media which the 2500A likes, buy more. This way
you're not stuck with a spindle of 50 useless disks. TY or Taiyo Yuden is
very good quality compatible media, if you can find it. Fuji products marked
"Made in Japan" are made by TY. Ritek also makes pretty good media. YMMV
