Hi all,

I need to find out if a user is having an SMTP account on Outlook
2000, 2002 and 2003.

I found out that Outlook 2000 writes this info in the registry at the
following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\OMI Account
Manager\Accounts
This is indeed update with a new account (i.e. SMTP Email Address =
(e-mail address removed)) when the new account is created and deleted when the account is
deleted.

But this is not true for 2002 and 2003. I created accounts for these 2
versions of Outlook, but I can not find in the registry where resides
the info about this new account.

Does anybody know where?

Any help is appreciatted,
Thanks,
Viv

It should be in HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Windows Messaging
Subsystem\Profiles\

Thanks Patrick for your reply. Now I found the information.

I have one more question: the info can be found on:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\Microsoft Outlook Internet
Settings\9375CFF0413111d3B88A00104B2A6676

under this key there are subkeys like 000000x with all the info.

My question is: how the subkey "9375CFF0413111d3B88A00104B2A6676" is
created?

I mean I just have to find out if the current user has an SMTP/POP3
account in Outlook 2002 or 2003.

Thanks,
Viv
