Where do my Outlook Mail Favourite Folders go

I'm running OL2007 and have a series of mail folders identified as
favourites - eg inbox, draft, etc..

When I open outlook, the only way I can get the favourites to display (above
the directory structure of mail folders on the left hand side) is to add
another favourite.

When I re-open OL, I have to go through the same routine.

I've recently re-installed OL and I did not have to do this before - so I've
obviously missed something.

So my question is 'How can I get my favourite mail folders to display
immediately I open OL.
