Where did the Word 2007 icon go?

When my wife saved a Word 2007 down a version (so that she could send it to
someone else and they could open it without downloading the compatability
patch), that seems to be about when we lost our Word 2007 icons. When any
user of our PC now goes to Start > Programs > Microsoft Office, Word is not
in the programs list. How do I get it back? (the only way we are able to
get to Word now is if we have a previously saved Word document in recent
docs. We have to open it and delete the contents to start a new file.) Only
one of the 6 users of our PC has Word as a desktop icon...the rest of us
don't...and don't know how to even get it there.

Use Windows Search and search for Winword.exe. Once found, right-drag the
file on to your Desktop and when prompted, click Create Shortcut Here. To
move it to your Start Menu, left drag the newly created shortcut over the
Start button (don't release the mouse), wait for the menu to open and
navigate to your Microsoft Office folder. Once there, release the mouse
button.
