Where did my red wavy lines go?

I already turned on the "Check spelling as you type" option, and turned off
the "Hide spelling errors in this document" option. When I run the spell
check, it does catch misspelled words, but I would really prefer to have
those darn red wavy lines back.. soon!

Please help!

Ctrl+A to select all the text in the document. Then go to Tools | Language |
Set Language and make sure that the language is set appropriately (not set
to "(no proofing)" if this is Word 97) and that the box for "Do not check
spelling or grammar" is not checked (if this is Word 2000 or above).
