Where did my pictures go?

I recently upgraded to Win SP2 and all the OE
upgrades.
Prior to the "upgrade" when I received an e-mail
with a picture attached it was part of the e-mail
and I did not have to "open" the file. Now my
e-mail with pictures attached requires I separately
open the .jpg file.
Is there a setting I can change or is this just part
of the "upgrade"?

In OE go to tools/options/read and untick the box that says read all
messages in plain text.
