Where did my personal folders go

I left my PC in Ctrl-Alt-Del state yesterday. Today when I logged on
some of my personal folders are missing (no one was on my pc). I also
noticed new folders: "sync issues" with the following sub-folders:
"Conflicts", "Local failures" and "Server Failures". A few days ago I
had installed Office 2003 but nothing unusual happened until today. I
uninstalled Office 2003 and began using Office 2000 again only after I
saw that my personal folders were missing. I can't see any connection
here but that is the only thing different that happened in the last
few days - any ideas? I don't do any type of syncronization. I
really want my stuff back.

Those folders are new with OL2003.
