Where can I get Service Pack 2?

I recently had to re-install Windows XP Pro. Now I need to download SP2.
But when I go to the M'soft Update page and follow the links to download SP2,
it just takes me back to the "Welcome to Microsoft Update" page. When I
search for updates, none of those ready to inmstall is SP2. I cannot find it
anywhere - I just go in a loop. Help please.

Thank you Patti and Tom, but that is a link to a site purely for "IT Professionals and Developers" which says you should NOT use the download on that page for only one PC. But it has a link back to the Download Centre, and I am back in my loop again! It's absurd that I cannot get SP2.

Ignore the bit about "IT Professionals and Developers" and go ahead and
download it.

Like Gordon said, ignore that bit, as you definitely CAN use it for one PC.

In addition, you might want to consider creating a slipstreamed install CD
for XP SP2, just in case you need to reinstall Windows some time in the
future. You could create a slipstreamed install CD by following the
instructions here:
http://www.theeldergeek.com/slipstreamed_xpsp2_cd.htm
(or do a web search for slipstreaming instructions, as plenty of them
abound!)
Also, many people seem pleased with having used autostreamer to slipstream:
