Where attachments appear when sending

Any attachments I used to insert into emails used to always appear under the
"to, from, Subject and then another line appears as attachment. Now my email
attachments are appearing like pictures would in the body of my email and I
can't figure out what I did to change it and how to change it back. HELP!

Are you using File | Send To | Mail Recipient (as Attachment)?

No. I'm in outlook and click on the "new" for a new email then add
recipient "to" and "insert" then "file"

Hi Flygirl,

Choose a HTML mail format under Tools | Options... | (the third tab -
probably something like "Email Layout" - I have a Dutch version of Word).
RTF format places the attachment in the body text, whereas HTML format
creates a seperate Attachment line.

Good luck,
Cooz

Instead of using Insert | File, is there not a button (such as a paperclip)
for attaching a file?
