Hi,

Using Windows XP with the latest fixes. My userid has full administrator
rights on the computer. I open ControlPanel and choose to see Icons for all
the applets. So all show up as icons, no problem there.

However, when I reboot the computer and log back in, if I open ControlPanel
all my settings are gone. The settings show up in 'Details' format. Why is
this happening? Are my settings not being 'saved' properly?

any help would be appreciated,
thanks!

Windows will only remember 400 customized views and you /may/ have reached
this limit. You can increase this limit to 8000 if you apply this registry
edit from Kelly's Korner.

Increase Folder View Size limit to 8000 (Line 2)
