where are db1.mdb, db2.mdb, so on from?

I did not set the "Compact On Closed", so I don't think this will be a
problem. I do import files (excel) into database everyweek, does it be a
problem of creating extra database?

The import by iteself won't create an extra database. John V. did ask about
whether your programming code in the database has any steps that might cause
the extra database.

My sense is that having all the users share the one database is probably the
root cause of the problem; but I've not seen such extra databases in normal
situations before. Sorry. I'd recommend that you split the database and then
see if the problems disappear.

Let me investigate more in detail what caused the problem before posting
another post. Thanks so much for your help about this topic.
