Whenever i type an email the words appear after a pause of time. Can anybody
help me out of this?

80 GB HDD, 512 MB RAM, 3.0 GHZ Chipset

Version of Outlook?
Type of account?
Word or Outlook as the email editor?
Installed add-ins?

Mail Editor Word 2003

Try running a repair on Office. After this you might need to reapply several
updates.
