My HP 2610 has started spewing out a blank page first before the printed
document. Did i unknowingly change some setting?

Probably :-). Check the driver settings - Start, Printer and Faxes,
click on the 2600 series, Printer, Properties, Advanced, Separator page.
Make sure the setting is blank.
