Your SMTP server is likely set up to be accessible only from the ISP's
network (whomever you connect with at home). This is usually done to prevent
spammers from relaying through the server. Ask your ISP if they will let you
use their SMTP server from any network if you authenticate to it, or change
your SMTP server to that for whichever connection you're using while
traveling.
