When I type my sentences they move backwards. Why?

I have my tabs set and when I reach my second tab and start typing the
sentence starts moving backwards.
 
Sounds like your 2nd tab is set as a right alignment tab. If you hover your
mouse over the tab stop in the ruler, does it say right tab? It would look
like a backwards L if it was a right tab. If you double click on the tab,
you can change the tab properties.

Thanks Treesy that was the problem. I'm somewhat computer illiterate but
slowly learning. Thanks again.
