When I type a word & press enter or spacebar the word repeats

When I type in Word the word I type is repeated when the space bar is struck.

Can somebody advise on how to stop this.

This sounds like it is a prank or a virus. Perhaps an AutoText entry.
Which version of Word?
Does it happen with every Word or with particular words?
