when i send a photo in e-mail it ends up as a attachment?

i use outlook as my e-mail program and when i put a photo in a word document
it ends up being recieved as a attachment. Help
 
In order to see the picture "inline" and not as an attachment, you must
choose Insert > Picture > from File.
 
addition to above....that will work if the picture is saved as only a
picture, not in a word document.
