When I reply to e-mail after every word I type I get a period whe.

I'd suggest asking this in a newsgroup related to whatever e-mail program
you're using.

This newsgroup is for questions about Access, the database product that's
part of Office Professional.

It's hard to be sure, but I wonder if you are using Microsoft Word as
your e-mail editor and you have Word's options set to show all
formatting marks. That option is on the View tab of Word's Options
dialog.
