When I print a word doc 'print selection' does not appear as an op

I am trying to print a selection in word, however when I go to file, print,
the only thing that appears is print all pages, there is no option for
selection or for current page. Can anyone help me set this up?
 
"Selection" is not an option unless you have text selected, but "Current
page" should always be available.
