When i press delete it asks me if i want to permanently delete

i have a problem. when i press delete on my key board my computer asks me if
i want to permanently delete the file, but i just want to put it in the
recycling bin. i dont know wut to do pls help

Right click on your Recycle bin. Select Properties. Make sure
there isn't a check mark in the box next to "Do not move files to
the Recycle Bin".
