when I paste something copied from a web page Word hangs

This only happens when I copied something from a web page. I have to End Word
from the Task Manager

Are you certain it has fnished downloading all the pics & details
you copied? Check the bottom status bar and see what it's
doing - it might still be retrieving. Copy is actually
"download" unless you've set Word to do otherwise. No idea why
it doesn't just copy, but it doesn't.

Yes, I have waited what I think is a long time. I'll have to check the
status bar but I'm fairly certain I've waited over 15 min or so. But, thanks
for the info. I didn't realize it was a download and not a paste. I'll try
watching the time again.

15 minutes should be way more than enough time! It'll usually
not take any longer than the original download you're looking at
onscreen unless a backbone redirects or something. Looks like it
might be something else, but still best to be sure by checking.

Thanks anyway. I'm not at home where it happens but will still check it out.
