When I hightlight text to delete it won't delete anymore

Confused

For some reason when I hightlight text to delete it won't delete. It just
stopped working. My keyboard is a Logitech and I spoke to them today and my
delete key works so it's not the keyboard. It just won't delete highlighted
text. I think it's some kind of a setting in Word. It just happened suddenly
without me changing anything. Probably has something to do with some
overnight automatic update that screwed it up.
