When I doubleclick in Excel, page jumps down/up.

Sometimes when I doubleclick a cell in Excel, instantly the page jumps either
up or down what seems to be an arbitary distance. It is quite annoying
because I often have to edit the content of certain cells, and ever so often
when I do so, by doubleclicking the left mouse button, the page moves up or
down. I have tried to turn this feature off, but so far my attempts have been
largely unsuccessful. Can anyone help me with this irritating problem?

I bet you're double clicking on the border of the selected cell indicator.

When you do that, it's like hitting the End key followed by an arrow key (in
that same direction).

You can turn this off, via:
Tools|options|edit tab|uncheck allow cell drag and drop

But that turns off dragging and dropping as well as autofill.

I think I'd just learn to be more careful when I double clicked <bg>.

What are you intending to do when you double click?
