When I click "send/receive" dialog box says "action failed

None of my outlook 2002 settings have changed. However, when I now press
"send/receive" a dialog box says "action failed". I have checked my accounts
- they all test okay. I can send messages okay. I can get to my messages
via webmail.
 
What troubleshooting have you already tried so we don't duplicate any advice
you have already followed?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.
