I use FrontPage 2000. I recently changed hosts. Frontpage
extension were definitely enabled before I transferred all
my files to the new host server. I didn't realize it, but
a portion of my site that was using themes and navigational
structure in FrontPage has completely lost all it
navigationals struction and theme.

How do I get it back. The index.html page of my website is
not in Front Page and does not use thems and frontpage
navigation. It's another part of my web that uses it and
now there are no pages going anywhere in that sections.

My computer does not have Inetpub or PWS.

Thank you for your help,
Beverly

How did you transfer the file between host?

To assist you in getting the best answers for FrontPage support see:

.

Since you didn't use FP to publish via http, then you will need to re-create the navigation
structure and re-apply your theme. Unless you still have access to the account on the old host, in
which case you can open the site in FP and publish to the new host after you delete the current
content that you FTP'd on the new host and have the host re-apply the FP extensions.

Thank you Thomas.

I already closed my old account BUT I can open the web up
on my computer in Front Page. I do have the site
completely backed up recently. I transferred files via FTP
though from the old host to my computer. Does that make a
difference too. I started getting use to FTP since the
other half of my site is not in Front Page.

Otherwise, if I cannot publish through Front Page
successfully from my computer, the question is how do I
re-create the navigation. I tried creating a new hope page
and renaming it home.html but I don't have a clue how to
bring in those other subpages into that navigation. I
already have started applying the theme and shared borders,
etc. to those pages. It's a lot to do manually but how do
I bring these pages into the navigation using Front Page.

Thanks so much,
Beverly

If the FP extensions are installed, then you should always use FP to publish. If you have sections
that only need to be uploaded via FTP, then these section should be folders that are convert to
subwebs / subsites.

To create you navigation structure, you click on Navigation View and then drag your pages into the
flowchart.
