when exporting from excel to outlook how do I map custom fields?

I am able to go through all the exporting steps from Excel 2000 to Outlook,
but at the last one, the "map custom fields" button does not highlighted. I
have created a file within contacts, the correct destination.

This is an emergency! I appreciate your help.
 
This newsgroup is for questions about using Microsoft Access with external
data sources. You're much more likely to get a useful answer in an Excel or
Outlook newsgroup.

For myself, I'd try exporting from Excel to CSV format, and then importing
that into Outlook.
