When entering data, Access automatically enters the next sequenti.

I have a field that is text, but the actual data entered in the field is
numeric. Access then automatically enters the next sequential number in the
next record. Is there a way to stop the automatic entry?

So, when you enter say, 19, in the said field in a record Access
automatically puts 20 in the same field in the next record. If this is so,
there is probably some code attached to a property fo this field (or the next
one in tab order) that is doing this.

Are you entering data in a table?? Try a form or query.

I know there is an issue about this and I don't recall if it also does
it in the query or not. But tables are not designed for entering data, only
holding it.
