When cut/paste I lose my original saved document

When I cut/paste a word doc. to workopolis.ca I lose the saved doc. in Word.
Why? How do I prevent this ?

How about using Copy/Paste instead?

Thanks for your reply. It did not answer my question. When I cut & paste a
Word doc. to an outside program (i.e. workopolis or monster.ca) the doc.
transfers over but is lost when I go back to review it in Word.

When you cut a document, it is like deleting it from one location and adding
it to another. That is probably why you can't view the document anymore and
why it was suggested that you try COPY & paster instead of CUT & paste.
