When burning slide show on a cd so you can play it in a dvd playe.

when burning a slide show on a cd can you play it in a dvd player or do you
have to burn it on a dvd.
 
A DVD player does not know what a powerpoint presentation is.
A lot of DVD players can however, show a series of JPG images as a
slideshow.
Some DVD players can even read regular CDs.

So why not write a CD-R with a load of JPGs, put it in your DVD player and
see what happens

You may have a try as TAJ suggested. And if the cd can't be played in a
dvd player yet, you may use Photo2DVD to burn slideshows on dvd
directly.
