When a user hits 'Reply' in outlook, the text 'zooms'

I have a user in Outlook 2003.

Whenever they reply to a message, the text reply window 'zooms' to an
undesired size. The font doesn't change, just the display.

To type the reply, the user has to manually scroll through as they type.

How do I prevent this? I don't see an option to change or even enable this.

You are using Word as the e-mail editor. Close Outlook, start Word, change
the zoom factor and close Word. Then load Outlook again and compose a new
e-mail.
