What's this Error Message...

Lately I've been getting an error message, in a separate window, that has the
word "Error" in the upper left corner and the message "Could not find the
Macromedia Flash" in the middle of the message window and the click OK button.
If I click OK it goes away, but returns later. If I don't click OK it
remains on top of anything I have opened. Macromedia Flash and Shockwave are
both listed in my "installed programs" list, but with no file size numbers
showing. Does this sound familiar to anyone and is there a fix?
Appreciate your help...

I have exactly teh same error and was really pleased to see a comment that
seemed to make sense!!

However within "objects " i had no reference to flash or shockwave...any

It pops up every so often and is annoying!!

It is since i went to myspace.com...arghhhh

Andrew, like Pete, I tried your suggestion and I too don't have flash or
shockwave in the list. This also seems to happen when my son or daughter
logon to Myspace.
And also... why is flash and shockwave shown in the Control Panel's
"Installed Programs" list, but with no corresponding file size? It's like all
I have is the name with no file data/size to go with it. Is this right? If
need be... where is the best place to go to download a fresh up to date
Macromedia Flash and Shockwave?
Thanks again

One does NOT need macromedia flash installed to utilize the Internet.
Well done webpages do NOT require it.

macromedia flash is a POS and I do not have it. Mostly annoying
advertisements and other crap on web pages.
