What's the best fomat to burn DVDs?

A gentlemen asked this question a couple of days ago and
never got an answer. I have the same question. Is it
better to convert to an AVI format??

Yes: in MM2, save to dv-avi.
You then have to convert to mpeg2 and author your DVD with third party
programs.
