What's source of default Desktop Background photo

I like Vista's default Desktop Background (mountains & lake). Where was that
photo taken?

PS, Any additional trivia regarding the new default Desktop Background (or
the ribbons Screen Saver) would be appreciated.
 
Pretty sure the "ribbon" screen saver came from somewhere near Cupertino...
