What Wireless cards are compatible with XP?

I own a dlink and my neighbor a lynksis cards and
everytime we try to use them instead of the direct
connection into the router we get the blue screen of
death (physical memory dump). I was told that this meant
the driver was not compatible with XP. I was wondering if
you could tell me what wireless card is to that I dont go
out and buy another useless card that will crash my
computer every 5 minutes at random. Thanks.

Did you install the right drivers BEFORE connecting the card?
Are they PCMCIA or PCI?
Did you uninstall one card before installing another if you're swapping them
around?
What is the make and model of the router you are connecting to?
etc etc

Not enough information given to provide any solution here...... I have an
MN-700 access point connected to a Linksys 8 port router..... the notebook
has an MN-720 PCMCIA card and the tablet has a built in Intel 2200BG
wireless adapter. All work just fine. The wired desktops have either a
Realtek 10/100 or a Linksys LNE100TX. Strangely enough, they all work fine
too. As does the tablet which I switch her to the wired Broadcom
10/100/1000 adapter (as long as I remember to turn off the wireless!)

I suggest it's probably more of a configuration problem than a hardware
one... perhaps a posting by you to the xp networking newsgroup might be in
order.
